
Hyundai will increase their investment in the United States by 50%
The Hyundai Motor Group declared that it will increase their investment in the United States by 50%. This way, their investment in the new factory will go up to 3.1 billion dollars.
The announcement comes as a respond to Donald Trump's threats of future board taxes of 35%.
Donald Trump officially declared that a 35% tax will be imposed on cars imported from Mexico, referring to car-makers like BMW and Toyota, which plan to build cars in Mexico for markets in USA.
Hyundai Motor Co and Kia Motors said that the decision was not influenced by Donald Trump's declarations.
Hyundai also said that is considering building a new factory in the United States, because there is a high demand for some sport utility vehicles and Genesis premium cars.
