Asian – September 26th: Asian. The Australia ASX All Ordinaries going up 0.01% to 5,519.11, while the HANG SENG INDEX going up 1.09% to 23.571.90 and the NIKKEI 225 INDEX going up 0.84% to close at 16.683.93.
NIKKEI 225 INDEX
- The best performers of the session on the Nikkei 225 Index were ANA Holdings is up 7.52% to trade at 500.5 at the close. Toshiba Corp. added 6.00% to end at 328.0 and Sumitomo was up 5.61% to 1,384.0 in late trade.
- The worst performers of the session were Sumitomo which fell 3.10% to trade at 343.6 at the close Resona fell 2.69% to end at 449.2 and The Chiba was down 2.62% to 595.0
Hong Kong Hang Seng Index
- The top performers on the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index were Li & Fung which up 4.12% to 4.040, Want Want which was up 3.39% to settle at 4.88 and Sands which close 3.33% to close at 33.350
- The worst performers were Hang which was down 0.39% to 138.85 in late trade, Power which lost 0.32% to settle at 76.72 and Citic which was down 0.27% to 11.18 at the close.
Australia ASX All Ordinaries
- The top performers on the ASX were Sai Global which rose 25.49% to 4.480, Bionomics F which was up 15.68% to settle at 0.320 and Gazal which gained 12.26% to close at 2.650
- The worst performers were Future which was down 9.65% to 0.154 in late trade, Covata which lost 9.68% to settle at 0.140 and Peninsula which was down 5.65% to 0.585 at the close.
Commodities NYMEX
- Gold Futures was down 0.34%, to trade at $1,339.55 at the ounce.
- The Silver futures for May delivery was dwon 0.68% to trade at $19.462 an ounce.
- Also on the NYMEX the WTI crude oil for September was down 1.98% to hit $45.06 a barrel.
- Natural Gas on the same market for September closed at $3.056 per million British thermal units,to close at 0.29%.
Forex
- EUR/USD was down 0.15% to close at 1.1237, while USD/JPY was up 0.07 to close at 100.37.
- The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% to close at 95.16.
